Eye for Art is delighted to invite you to the 2018 Modern Art of Pakistan Exhibition in Washington DC on April 7th and 8th. Our show will feature master works from artists, including Sadequain and Ismail Gulgee, who pioneered concepts and styles that have been influential in the subcontinent and abroad. We also feature works by emerging artists that are pushing forward new ideas in calligraphy and abstraction.
The exhibition will be our fifth show in the Washington DC area.
Eye for Art's heritage begins in Karachi in 2004. Founded by Ali Haider & Jawaid Haider and inaugurated by Zaro Gulgee, the gallery space has long been recognized as the leading venue for old master paintings from Pakistan. In recent years, the gallery has also featured work by artists from India and Bangladesh, with events dedicated to pioneering artists who were part of the Progressive Artists Group of Bombay.
Our DC show will also feature works from Aamir Kamal, Tassaduq Sohail, Jamal Ahmed, Mashkoor Raza, Waqar Ali and others.
An event catalog will be available by the end of March. All work is available for purchase and can be reserved in advance. .
